Hello Grimuar,
I am a roleplayer dude from Scotland who is currently living in lovely Lublin. At present I am dying of boredom because I have lots of free time and no creative outlet/engagement ( I am a teacher and term doesn't commence for another 7 weeks)
I am very keen to get back into the RPG hobby but it seems my lack of Polish language skills would be a hinderance in this regard. I was wondering if roleplaying in English would be of any interest to some of your members?? I guess it would be rather like a free 3 hour long interactive language lesson with dice, action, style and substance.
I would be very grateful if you could disseminate this request amongst your troops to see if there is any uptake. I am on wavelindsay at yahoo dot com or on nasza klasa as neil mullarkey
Please accept my apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. I got here by blind guesswork and random logic
Cheers
Neil

Hmm..... following on from this, and having a look around your website, it seems that you are a LARP group rather than a tabletop RPG team. Well... nonetheless.... if any of you know of any tabletop RPG groups operating in the area I would be immensely indebted to you if you could advise me of their presence and whereabouts.
Cheers

Hello Neil, :-)
nice to see you here. I'm Joanna, but most of my friends call me squirel. Grimuar Club is not only a LARP group, in fact most of us like tabletop RPG as well. Every one person in Grimuar Club started it's adventure with RPG playing tabletop, and most of us are still playing it, whenever it's possible.
At present, we've got holidays. Our club is students club, so our major activities starts at november, but even now we meet socially every monday at 20:00, on Marie Curie-Skłodowska Square in front of UMCS vice-chancellor's office. We're going for beer, and to talk, and sometimes we're arranging appointments to play RPG. I have no idea who would be able to play tabletop RPG in English. I'm afraid that mine is to poor for me to have a courage, but we have a lot of mambers graduate of English studies. It's quite possible that they would like to play, anyway.
Straying from the one's point: what RPG do you play in Scotland? Which of them do you like the most? :-)

Hmmm, I'm one of those rare GM in club who use a lot English systems, mainly nWoD, but lately started to run Dark Heresy, and use original, English books a lot. Problem is, I know that I make a LOT of little mistakes in Polish, not to mentioned English. And I have games that spans couple of months now. BUT, maybe you should run the short game? I could easily access you to some of mine collections ( and not only ) if you are interest.

Wow, great to see You here. I think that you may find some people interested in playing RPG in English. But, as squirel said, in time of holidays a lot of students gone home and will be back in October. Which RPG systems do You want to run?

Hey there. I'm in the US right now, I should be back in mid-September. Then we might have a chance to arrange something.
I've always kinda regretted that people in our club like LARPs so much, otherwise there'd be more tabletop sessions going on... On the other hand, I could be setting an example, and quite frankly, last year I've played less than the European constitution told me to. Gotta fix that.
Anyway, I've recently found a copy of Sorcerer RPG in one of the friendly local gaming stores around here, it's heavily-indie game focused on storytelling rather than dice rolling, centred on summoning demons and gathering magical power from them. It's 20 bucks, good value I'd say. I'm not sure if there'd be people interested in that. I'll buy it if I convince myself that I want to GM it.

Dear Grimuar team,
Dziekuje bardzo for the prompt and salubrious respose from yourselves. I have received a variety of posts through PM, e-mail and here so I'll get back to them today. In response to queries on genre I generally trend towards horror, dark thriller and future noir, which more or less apexes at Cthulhu, cyberpunk and SLA industries, though I have played and ran many systems and styles. The vast majority of my library is still in Glasgow so my resources are slightly limited but I don't think this will be too much of a hinderance in general.
I guess the next logical step would be to bounce along on Monday for a pint and say hello. I shall make provision to do so.
Once again, thanks for all the responses. I'll look through the PM's and e-mails now and form a more fully appropriate response in short order.
Oh... another query..... anywhere in Lublin where I can pick up dice???
Cheers
Neil

There is a place in Lublin, where you can buy dice, books and other accesories. It's caled 'Krzyś' - shop with toys, children's clothes and so on, but it has a section for RPG, card and battle games. You should ask there. MAP
If not, try through the Internet. Q-workshop is the biggest and the best known e-shop with dice. ENGLISH SITE
